not sure if it's a common problem or if it's been posted before...suppose I could look...but when I mark forums read, it's really not doing that, at all.

works for me

what happens? You hit mark forum read... it gives you the 'ok' message and then you still see the forums as unread?

when I mark them as read...I go back to the index usually. when refreshed later, it still takes me to the first post, instead of the latest post, even though I click on the arrow.

sorry... can you be a little more clear?

If you click on the mark as read, you are taken to a screen that says "forum is marked as read." You then click on the 'NT' logo to take you back to the main index. Is the forum still displaying a 'new posts' icon? If you click on the 'view last post' icon, it will still take you to the last post in the topic, regardless if you've read it or not.

I can and will be more clear.

Let's say, I am reading "spaceship one" in CA. after reading everything in CA I want to read, I click "mark forum as read." Then, I click on the NT logo to take me back to the index. When I go back to CA later, it will show that new posts have been made in whatever threads. Ok? When I click on that thread, I USUALLY get taken straight to the most recent posts (ones' I haven't read yet.) Lately, it's not doing this. When I click on the thread, instead of seeing the most recent posts, it takes me to the very beginning of the topic, or, the FIRST post that was made.

sorry if that's confusing

so... if a thread is on it's third page...for some reason I keep getting sent to the first page...to the first post.

Are you sure you are clicking on the last post arrow? If you click ANYWHERE in the thread window, it will take you to the first page..
