Tribes: Vengeance

This game needs a thread....
I'm downloading the multiplayer demo henceforth!
Anyone else into this series? My favorite shooter next to Q3....
They had this mod on the last two versions called UltraVX.... basically unlimited flight, insane rate of fire, and a shitload of ammo on everyspawn... Hope to see it recreated for this new release.

Ultra mods are the lamest thing to ever happen to the game. Ruined the first one, made the second unbearable, hate to even think of it in Tribes: Vengeance.
It wasn't meant to be played as a point click you are dead game. Go play Counterstrike if you want that.
Shifters was a good mod in my opinion, lots of neat classes and more options for base building.

Ultra mods did suck in first tribes but I loved the meltdown hell mods and shifter v.1. (Just got done playing tribes)
Tribes 2 totally sucked ass lame ass gameplay.
Tribes vengance I have heard mixed reviews soo ...

my favorite thing to do was take an engineer and build two warp pads right under our own flag so whenever someone went to grab it, they would get vaulted into the ceiling and die going at warp speed.
That and loading up a LAN game with my roomate, he and I would spend a couple hours building a base and then switch teams and try to storm the base we built.

shifter mod was the own in the original... we made some insane defenses...
I still liked the Ultra mods on occasion... the game play is super fast, but you get used to it.
I downloaded the Vengeance teaser but haven't installed it yet. I'll let you know what I think.
