How did you like them?
the last day of closed I rolled my 1st priest and played him to 15ish, and seemed pretty fun
do you end up morphing just into a heal bot at the high end instances? or are you able to keep some of your diversity and do some nuking/melee'ing

too lazy to type it up again =p.
In short... I loved it. I'm 95% sure that I'll keep playing this come retail, if I play during retail anyway.

Well in alpha i played a priest to 25, then first beta priest for alliance i have up to 32.....
I loved playing a priest and couldnt imagine playing anything else.... till i made my druid. Now I have hard time getting urge to level up my priest.
They are a fun class in general tho, I just find Druid more fun for myself.

There's a pretty good chance I will switch to Priest on release. Given the lack of point to ever shifting forms as a druid, and given that priests out heal, and often out-nuke druids, but can melee better and have better armor (with Inner Fire), I just don't see much point in being a Druid. That may change depending on what changes are made to the class, though. Still, right now, most of my playtime with the druid is as a Priest Lite, so why not just BE a priest.

Man... you are like... total opposite from what every priest on the WoW boards says towards druids...
they heal just as well, melee way better... can nuke just as well... why not play a druid instead?

I have a baby priest on Beta. I will make a warlock my main and a priest my secondary when the game goes live.

I played a priest during ST and loved it. I never got past 18 with it tho.

My Priest was a levelling machine pre nerf. Post nerf I somewhat gave up on it at 23, as the class was too close to an EQ cleric for my tastes.
Its a good class, and if I wanted to be support, I'd play it.

played hrm 4 priests from alpha to now ...latest one is like 57 or 58 I dunno. Haven't had much time to play with work school and new house but anyhowwww. I love playing a priest but am still concerned some with the talents. In instances, if it's a single group with one healer then i'm usually pretty much just a healer but toss in dots if I can and well melee for fun. I like to mind control at times also but depends on who all is in the group. Anyhow, I still think priest is pretty much a straight healer unless you have a 2nd healer so you can toy with spells etc.

Settle down, Taxx. it's only Finawin, you should expect stupidity out of him.

yeah except you can only use 1 every 60 seconds. And bandages only heal about half your hp.

for the record, I quit playing WoW because I was constantly pidgeonholed into grouping with Vonkaar(meaning, pull, kill, heal and leave him to loot it all and all the while splitting the exp with him).
I couldn't stand it anymore, I don't know if all priests are as useless, but Vonkaar certainly was.

played a priest to 40. solo play is fantastic, i compare this to 20's hunter 60 rogue 40 warlock. i pretty much only played a shadow priest though. i kept heals at a minimum using vampiric embrace and all teh cool shadow jazz.
i honestly could not tell you how a discipline or holy specced priest would work out. i was shadow 100% basically a second rate mage with healing buffing and resing capabilities. i was much more durable than my rogue, hunter or warlock.
priest is very good solo if specced right and never wants for a group. overall a great class.

edit:
you say stuff like this often enough that I don't think you are kidding anymore... you didn't have to group with me, I answered your 'want to group' tells just as often as you answered mine... we got in the habit early on of your leaving every corpse unlooted because of the chain pulling and so I started looting everything... you would even keep things on FFA instead of RR so I wouldn't miss any corpse. After you first started complaining (in what seemed to be a facetious manner), I would wait minutes between looting fresh bodies. In addition, any time I got any smithing materials (gems, plans etc), I would mail them to you...
As far as my healing is concerned, I was almost always invited back to heal for groups that I worked with in the past... nightly invites for various dungeons. The higher-lvl characters in the guild all respected my abilities... I feel pretty comfortable with my skills.
In short, I think you are still joking, but you say shit like this so often that it makes me wonder if you are serious. I don't mind the occasional jab, but it really bothers me that you might actually believe the things you've been saying. This is especially true in light of my usual 'praise' of your tanking abilities.
