He is the real deal, and seems to be getting better each week.

Also, with his added lack of turnovers and keeping Pitts D off the field, it's making both their offense and defense more potent.

This area is weird. Depending on who is doing best at the time fans are suddenly Steeler, Eagle, or Redskin fans.

I'm amazed at the amount of Steelers fans in Ohio. I'm not talking bandwagon people, either. I guess there are a lot of Penn people who moved here.

We won't know about Roethlisberger until the playoffs begin. Right now they're winning games with him throwing 18 passes a game. He's not carrying the team, he's not even a vital component of the offense. Pitt's dominating offensive line is the MVP.

Come playoff time, we'll know more about him when defenses are totally geared to stop the run at all costs, forcing him to win the game on his own. Also, they beat a depleted New England team at Pitt that was missing their #1, #2 WR's, #1 RB, #1 RT, RG, #1 FB, #1, #2 CB's.......

Philadelphia is just a good team playing in a piss poor conference. There are 6 teams in the AFC that could be better. (NE, Pitt, Jets, Den, Jax, Indy, etc)

Roethlisberger made big time plays against arguably the top two defenses in the league. Pitt with Roethlisberger is the best team in the NFL currently. Certainly he isn't doing it alone, but he is the catalyst, as every teams QB in the league is, save Baltimore.

Philly is arguably in the top three of the NFL. They are in a weak division, but that doesn't change the fact they are a good team that has beaten a lot of good teams.

On neutral ground, I'd take Philly over the Jets, Denver, Jax, and Indy. I think the Pats and Steelers are indeed better than they are.

He is the real deal. He has alot of talent, a strong arm, and he is very very quick thinking. He is blessed right now to start playing for a team with a great defense and a powerful running game, and some good recievers.

He has definatly benefited from being there at the right place, at the right time. It was very smart of Cower to start implementing more shot gun formations for him, since his college ran ALOT of shotgun.

He definatly has all the tools to be an elite quarterback, we will see how he responds to his "rookie mistake" game. Everyone has one, how you react to it is a huge factor in the rest of your career. Question is when and where will the game take place.

Watch out this week in Cleveland though, could be an upset brewing.

Im not sure if i would call him better than phillip rivers and Eli manning yet, we have yet to see them play in the regular season (and may not). He definatly has a leg up on experience right now.

Definatly has showed the mentality and maturity of a great quarterback. Rivers is going to be nailed to the pine with as well as Breeze is playing this year (hello pro bowl), as will eli manning unless Kurt gets hurt.

When I watched him play, some of his passes were piss poor. Lucky for him he has Plaxico Burress and Hines Ward to play around (they made a lot of shitty passes catches), along with a stellar O-Line and running game.

When your team runs for a league leading 180+ ypg you are going to have some leeway as a quarterback. He is good, no doubt, but as was stated before, he benefits from the fact that they run all over everyone. All Big Ben has to do is not make any outrageous mistakes and the Steelers's Defense and running game will take care of the rest. Any great plays he makes are just icing on the cake. My family is very happy with our beloved Steelers once again.

thats what i am kinda saying... if he improves to get near Manning (as in can make plays himself) then he will be the next Montana, elway, farve, young (if their can be the next of those). At least next dominate QB

as much as it pains me to say it, the steelers seem like the real deal this year
