Halo 1 was horrible, Half-Life 2 comes out next week. Halo 2 may win game of the week but won't even win game of the month=P

Not excited at all about H-L2 or Halo2, but I do have a copy of Metroid Prime: Echos on pre-order, and I am champing at the bit for Tuesday.

I'm enjoying Halo 2, also. The AI is very good and the mission is nice.

The graphics aren't anything great, as it is an Xbox game. At least I can actually see wtf I'm doing though, unlike Doom 3.

I'm looking forward to HL2, also. Lots of Christmas gaming goodness.

Getting pwnd on the first fucking level! I am trying to storm the hanger room with the covenant ship attached, pouring baddies in to the room. How the hell do I stop them? They keep coming in waves. There is limited ammo, grenades etc on legendary setting and the only clue is to "concentrate on the ship, Master Chief". A straight up gunfight is next to impossible as there are probably 50+ bad guys so I assume I have to blow the ship up somehow. I can't even get close to it without getting smoked. I have lobbed all the grenades at the opening they are pouring out of but no luck.

Any clue?

Break the cd, video games are obviously too difficult for you.

You don't have to destroy the ships. Just get the grenades and kill the baddies.

Halo 2 was so bad it only sold 2.5 million copies so far. Must be terrible.

True, having tons of people buying something or playing it doesn't make it great.

However, Halo 2 is a very good game. Bungie is a top tier developer.
It sucks playing an FPS with a controller, though. Give me my mouse and keyboard.

Is Halo 2 like Halo 1? If not then I won't be buying it. Halo 1 was like Serious Sam except not fun.

Come on Kizzy. I rarely delete posts. Do you forget the multiple times you have accused me of this, and apologized later because you were blatantly wrong? Sheesh. And you accuse me of negativity.

Taxx, Halo 2 is like Halo 1. Its got better AI, a new mission, but it seems to follow very much in the spirit of the first game. It's similar to Half Life, save its a console game, versus a PC game.

I think its fun, but I liked Halo 1. Ya, it wasn't super difficult, but it was fun for me.

I think the controller is where my dislike for halo comes from,

the game though never really kept my attention for more than 5 minutes before I would get distracted

I generally play only in 30 minute blocks. I can't play too much of any console.

I couldn't play more than 45 minutes of Doom 3, either, so maybe it's MMO A.D.D.

Yeah, I restarted on Heroic difficulty and blew threw that area. I just figured there had to be some kind of trick to it. On Legendary, 4 hits and you are dead and I think that particular area was not very well balanced. All your marine buddies die in about 10 seconds so you are left to kill all the bad guys yourself.

Halo 2 ROCKS. The battles in the streets are amazing.

Yea i started off on Legendary too and got stomped in the same place. My theory is that Legendary is made for co-op especially at first (though eventually,just like the old legendary,it will be beatable np). Finally being able to drive the Wraiths (covenenant tanks) really got me going. Back on halo1 on assult on the controll room i would use invis to steal one of the banshees on the bridge near the end, fly down and push the wraith in to the hole with all the ammo. It took some doing and sometimes the elite wouldnt pop out..buuuut if he did you couldnt dive it

As far as graphics go...best i have ever seen on a console game. After playing halo for over a year on a near daily baisis, LANing it several times week for a while, the controller vs. keyboard debate seems silly to me. I can use the two joysticks as efficiently as a mouse and keyboard. The first few months i will admitd the controller felt like it was holding me back, but once i got used to it i was fine.

Any of you fellas have live? My 56k's of power cant handle it. It must be amazing. My friend and I are gonna get it when he lives with his parents over christmas break and thanksgiving...it'll be just like the old days LANing halo for 12+ hours,only it'll be on live against people we wont be able to crush in our sleep=P

I'm actually just about to leave to go to said friends dorm and LAN the poo out of it 4v4. Awesome game all around.

Yea im on xbox live i was playing it online for about 4 hours last night if anyone wants to send a invite to a game im Dread Finger on live.

So was i the only guy here who stood outside for 2 hours at the GameStop for the Halo2 midnight madness opening?

Also on xbox live if you didnt know you can play 2 player with a friend via split screen online.

My brother and i hook up the xbox to the 55inch big screen and go on live with the split screen so far its been badass.
