I really hate to keep asking everytime someone posts this...

But, do you know how to build one yourself from scratch, or do you want a complete system.

And how much money are you willing to work with?

No I do not wish to do it myself. I really want something very recreational and don't wish to try and remeber how to put computers together with frying the motherboard.

I think we can manage 12 to 15 hundred or so next month or two. I am just trying to browse for things now.

Do you need a monitor as well? (if not you have a huge chunk of money left to play with)

1200-1500 is a lot of money for a good system and you won't be disappointed with it when you do get it.

We will probably need one, when our last comp died we used the laptop from Stacy’s work... she would like to be able to play some games again so I am looking at what we can get comp wise. Though we really don’t need a great monitor - she can hardly tell the difference between HDTV and regular TV.

Then just spend $150 on a CRT monitor.

No need for an LCD etc.

While I personally detest places like Dell, I would say Dell is the best quality out of the major dealers.

But looking through http://www.cyberpowersystem.com , they look pretty damned nice for the prices listed, quality name brand components too
