He's overrated, IMO. Smith is a better runner than him on Texas.

Benson fits our running system. He is very similar to Ricky Williams.

I like RBs that are big. Benson is 6' 225lbs. He can take a pounding throughout the season (we ran Ricky 392 times two years ago, yes we like to run a lot).

JJ Arrington is having a terrific season, but look who he has faced. The only formadible team I think Cal has played is USC, and he did decent versus them.

If we do not get Benson, I would not mind grabbing The Caddy. He has played consistantly over his career in Auburn. Auburn also had one of the toughest schedules this year, and Caddy has been solid each week.

What type of an offense will the dolphins have next year? you wont know until saban hire an offensive coordinator. So he may not want to draft a big runner.

looks like 9ers might pick alex smith from Utah.. i would go for mike williams than OL but thats me. they need a WR that can get himself open.. doesn't need to be a TO but needs to be able to get open. OL would help out Rattay or dorsey alot.. they can be like Brad johnson if they had a OL and WRs.... looks also like barlow will have a 5 game test next year then Hicks will get the starting position if Barlow is still sucking if they get a better OL

The 49ers have so many holes, the best thing they could do is trade out of the 1 for 2-3 first and second round picks.

All I want for the Chiefs is either Braylon Edwards or the CB from Auburn. Hopefully one of they will be available at 15.

Knowing the Chiefs though, we'll trade our #1 pick for 2 5th round picks and take a few running backs.

Edwards is slated as a top 10 pick. I'd think the Chiefs would want to go D with their higher picks. There are several good WRs you can get in the second and third rounds.

Chiefs should trade up and get Benson... then they can run the wishbone with johnson, holmes, and benson

I need to check Benson's 40 speed. Everyone thinks he's the cats meow, but I'm just not that impressed. He was often running through holes that were so big my Granny could use her walker and pickup 5 yards.

Benson is not an explosive runner. He is 6' 225lbs. He will pound the ball throughout a game and take a beating.

49ers have already announced that they're going to be using the first pick and have no intentions of trading it. Dorsey is a good QB IMO he just need some more time under center. However; if I were them I would consider trading down and using their first round pick to get Jamal Brown (OT from OU) and then try and grab Darren Spurrels (HB from KSU) in the 2nd round. Deing in the central time zone I haven't gotten to see the 49ers play much, but IMO these are some great oppertunites to pick up some overlooked talent at some crucial positions.

But since they've decided that they're hanging on to their pick they'll probably pick up either Benson or either of the Auburn HB's. Don't be surprised if you see Mike Williams taken first overall. This kid has the total package at WR. Soft hands, dominant size, elite speed, and phenomenal blocking skills (an area in which the NFL is seriously lacking). I thought that he would have been the most talented althete in the draft last year, but that didn't work out too well for him.

Miami will be looking for either a young QB with a little mobility, or a running back that doesn't need much help from his blockers. I don't like Alex Smith. Don't forget about Rogers out of Cal. Leihnart (*sp) may have won the Heisman, but Rogers was 1st Team All-Conference in the Pac 10. Charlie Frye from Akron seems to have stirred the pot, but since I'm in Big 12 country I doubt I'll ever see Akron play.

Looks like the draft is full of teams in need of QBs, but there may not be enough talent to go around. Should make for an interesting draft and next season. But I wouldn't expect too much out of next years Rookie class (except maybe Erasmas James or Antrel Rolle).

not sure about spurrels, never got to see him play. too bad reggie bush isn't coming out this year hehe....Hicks looks good for the 9ers and if barlow gets a clue and a decent OL they can do a switch off between them like they did with hearst and barlow.

i havn't heard a huge deal about any OT like last year or when McKinny (i think thats his name.. he plays for the Vikings) from Maimi came out.

They need OL, and DBs maybe one more DL thats really good. But if they are willing to spend money (HA!) they can snag OL in free agency that are ok or decent. thats all they need.

Hmm I don't know if I want to invest in a back with a know history of injuries. Miami needs to think log term and invest in a back that they know is going to be healthy. Henry sounds like he would be a safe bet seeing as how he'd be willing to sign with any team that would garantee him a starting position; however, I think that Miami needs to look passed him and find a name that they can really build a francise on.

If I'm in Miami's shoes pick up Cadilac and turn him into a frachising and marketing bombshell.

It seems as though Vincent Young may fall through the cracks (which I would find hard to believe after his Rose Bowl performance), but he could make a 2nd round steal. Jason White could possible (improbably but not impossible) make a good fit in their system becuase it would be an easy transition from the Feeley / Feidler duo to White who is a pocket passer. White would need to mature alot and be able to pass a riggorous physical. Don't forget taht this kid is less than 2 years removed from major knee surgery. But I think Young is money in the bank both literally and figuratively.

Their defense is sound, but their linebacking core is getting a bit old. I like Derrick Thomas (Texas), but I don't think that he's worth trading down for unelss they do end up going with Henry.

Saints need a freakin O Tackle. Solidify our line and we will be much improved on O. Brooks had a seive in front of him all year. I hope they draft one early. Like 1st.

Jamal Brown is intense and dominant. Back in his High School days he played DLine and I never wanted to block him. I never even wanted to see him on my side of the ball. Since then, he's turned into college footballs best offensive lineman who is known for burying people in the turf 5 yards downfield.

Darren Spurrels feel off of the face of the planet after his teams losses in their first 2 games dropped them out of the top 25; however, weeks before the season started he was considered a Heisman frontrunner. He embarassed OU's defense in the Big 12 Championship last year whenever their D was considered the fastest in the country. He's got big time speed and great moves. He's a bit undersized but he has the chance to make a good offensive line look great.

Yeah I read that. On one hand, Im pissed. I dont mind Haslett, but I thought there would be some other coaching staff or FO changes. Apparently not. Thought still waiting and seeing.

On the other hand, if we do try to hire some new coaches, they will see that Haslett is secure with a long contract, so the situation might look more stable to the potential hire.
