Who were your sports heroes when you were young?

I got into a conversation with a friend of mine over this. We started remembering the icons in sports we looked up to when we were kids. I got curious, who were the ones most of you looked up to?
Mine were:
Paul Molitor Brewers
Dan Quisenberry Relief pitch for the Kansas City Royals (wicked ass under arm)
Walter Payton aka Sweetness Chicago BearsDoes this man even need to be defined?
Marvelous Marvin Hagler(sp?) Boxing Champion.

I hated Mike Greenwell, mostly because he was always an asshole (he hung out at my neighbors house and was always drunk and loud). We would all get together for a neighborhood bash and he was always there, yelling and drinking. /sigh

I hated sports as a kid. Only thing I watch now is NFL football. And if the Saints leave New Orleans, I wont even watch that.

Yeah I remember when he was traded to the Brewers. I guess that is when I knew him best. That boy had a cannon for a arm. Jeez he was a nasty relief pitcher.

Yeah, I remember one day I got to meet him and tried to get him to sign a ball for me. He walked over to the fence and told everyone to get lost. I didn't like him any more.
