Philly is a sound team, though, and it should be a good game. Mcnabb will not give the game up, like Roethlisberger did.

Any top 10 AFC team this year would have won the superbowl. NFC was just pitiful this year. Philly barely beat Baltimore without Jamal and the Browns, yes, the Browns took them to overtime.

I'm thinking Patriots by 17+ in the Superbowl.

As fas an I know I was the only person here (besides Finawin) who has been standing behind the Pats all along. While everone else was predicting each and every play off game as a NE loss, I stood my ground. NOW that I have been proven right - no one wants to hear it. Sore losers? /shrug.... dunno, don't really care.

I've always followed the AFC East, or as I like to call it - the AFC Beast... yes, the Bills are my number one team - but I've always favored the Pats as well. Why? It started with that Super Bowl XX game where the Bears beat NE by 36 points. For some reason I was drawn to the Pats, maybe it was because of the way they played, or it drew from my pure hate of the Bears. However, it was from that point that I started to follow the Pats. I actually started following the Bills in 88 (two years after starting with the Pats). But, I didn't really get into the Bills until the early 90's while watching the K-gun, Thomas, Reed, and co. destroy everyone in the AFC.

So, technically yes, I actaully started following the Pats before the Bills, but I have alwasy considered the Bills as my number one team. Despite my admission in an earlier post that the Bills weren't *doing it* for me as of late. So, why am I pulling so hard for the Pats? Because A: they represent the AFC East. B: That team is a GREAT bunch of guys... you never hear them talking shit, bashing anyone, or anything of the sort (at least I haven't). C: they treat their fans as if they are of the uttmost importance. If you watch a NE game when they are at home - you'll notice that every touch down ball goes out into the crowd *to a fan.* Obviously, they do a lot more. Meanwhile the Bills are full of a bunch of players who are bitter, pissed off, and are asking to leave... to jump ship (Henry for example).

The Pats have an awsome team with a great bunch of players (good attitudes, plenty of talent).... And, I hope they DO win another SB, just to rub it in the face of a nation that seems to thrive on waiting for them to lose.

Yeah - that entire team was great - regardless if they lost 4 SB's in a row... just the idea of even going to 4 back to back is something to marvel at. Marv was the man.... Kelly, Metzelaars, Tasker, the Thurmanator, Beebe, Lofton, Christie, Smith, Talley, Odomes, hell all of 'em. Buffalo isn't going to see a team like that again for a VERY long time. Right now things aren't looking great. The team's attitude isn't good, players are looking to jump ship, management doesn't seem to want to get rid of Bledsoe, the fans do nothing but complain, the team itself doesn't just seem like it's really trying. Bad attitudes, poor fanmenship, poor management calls.... Buffalo is in trouble. And, to be honest I don't see them making the play offs for a couple of years. The team isn't clicking with each other. And Henry - that bastard just pisses me off.

The fans started a slogan, "we Billieve" and of course the owner of the team saw an oppertunity to make money and plastered it all over a shirt, then sold it - which just further pissed a LOT of the Bills backers off.

I'm not happy with the Bills right now. And until the players change their attitudes, management gets its head out of it's ass, and they start playing like a team that actually WANTS to win - I won't sink one penny into their program.

Buffalo has a great team. Their defense is awesome. They have a good running game in McGahee and Henry (even though Henry won't be back next season). Eric Moulds is one of the most underrated receivers in the league, as is Chris Chambers. When they revamp their shitty offensive line, and get a quarterback (let's see how Losman does, he didn't look too bad, he is more mobile than Drew) they should be just fine. The problem is that they play in the toughest division in the league.

Maybe Kurt Warner to Buffalo? He did well in a limited hamstrung offense with Pewmaster Toede as his head coach. With Mularkey and his accuracy and quick release, he'd put them on a level where they could compete with NE.

Kurt could work, maybe. When he got sacked too many times in ST. Louis, with a great offensive line, he just wasn't the same. Seemed to do much better in New York though.

Martz was a moron and got Warner killed with 5 and 6 reciever sets.

In NY he was amazingly efficient with ass WRs and being handcuffed by Goblinboy. Give him McGahee and Moulds and you'd have a nice upgrade at QB.

Amani Toomer and Ike Hilliard are not ass!

They are a far cry from Tory Holt and Isaac Bruce.

They are very mediocre WRs.

Moulds is better than Hilliard and Toomer put together.

I hate to down my team - but there are some facts you all aren't considering....

Look at this past season - when the Bills faced teams with winning records - they got crushed - they won when they faced teams with losing records. There is no way they could have beaten any of the play off teams in this year's rounds.

The Bills went on a six game winning streak and everyone went crazy, ok fine. Now take a look at who they beat. The Bills beat teams with a combined record of 35 - 61. When they played teams who held a combined record of 37 - 27 they lost... four in a row to be exact.

1. The Bills' offensive line is trash, period.

2. Bledsoe is washed up - he may be a great guy off the field, but in uniform he just isn't getting it done. His recievers have no faith in him. He would get calls from the box telling him to, "Get rid of it!, get rid of it!"

3. At least THREE of Buffalo's star players are wanting to jump ship. One of which (Henry) has at least the balls to say it publicly.

Now, yes the D is strong... very strong, or is it? But, let's take a hard look at the stats. The Bills were 1st in the AFC in sacs, 2nd in forced fumbles, 1st in interceptions, and 2nd in INTs being returned for TD's. That's great - but you know it's not like they did this playing teams like NE back to back. Seriously, just think about it. Is it really so hard to put up numbers like that when you're playing teams like the 49'ers for most of your season?

Week 1

Bills 10 - J-ville 13 : J-ville ended the season with a 9-7.

Week 2

Oakland 13 - Bills 10: Oakland ended the season 5-11.

Week 4

New England 31 - Bills 17: If you need to know what NE's record is - just shoot yourself now.

Week 5

Jets 16 - Bills 14: Jets ended the season 10 - 6.

Week 6

Bills 20 - Miami 13: Miami ended the season 4 - 12.

Ok - you get the idea - I am not going to post all the scores of the season.

My point is not only do the Bills lose to teams with winning records, BUT their D allowed a total of 284 points.

That's doesn't sound to bad. But, here's the kicker. When facing teams like the 49'ers, the Cardnials, the Bungles, so on - they do ok. Now, when they face teams like Pittsburgh, NE, NY - they get blown out allowing for over 20 points per game.

The Jets, Pats and Steelers scored a combined 122 points (that's roughly about 24.4 points per game for 5 games - you call that good D?). That means that they allowed a combined 164 points from their meetings with the lesser teams in the league (an average of about 14.9 points in 11 games). That is not awsome D, in my book. Yes, the stats (sac, interceptions and such) look great - but in this case I think you have to research it a bit to see the bigger picture.

To some extent, yes the Bills D is strong - depending on who they're playing.

The very idea that management is even considering letting Bledsoe stay if he takes a pay cut just screams they don't give a fuck about having a play off run.

Buffalo IS in trouble, and I seriously can't see them in the play offs for a couple of more years.

If Buffalo is at all serious about making the play offs they MUST make some changes. Fix the damn O-line, work on the D (they can't seem to stop teams with winning records and if you're going into the play offs guess what? you'll be facing teams WITH winning records), get RID of Bledsoe, use the draft picks to get quality replacements for those who are planning on jumping ship.

I wouldn't mind seeing Warner come to Buffalo. Start Warner and work Losman in to start getting him up to speed.

Maybe they need to get a whole new coaching staff. They seem to have the players.
