Was talking with another hunter last night, and he claimed he could solo the place at lvl 42

I'm 41 atm, and I can't even see how that would be remotely possible
I called him a lying cunt, but thinking on it now, I'd like to hear if anyone else thinks it's even remotely possible

(and no, I don't just mean the 2 easy instance wings, he said the whole thing)

Very slowly, with a lot of potions... and then he'd get raped by the bosses.

im not sure how he could finish the mograine + whitemane fight at the end solo at 42 unless he had some major gear.

Uh no he's not telling the truth. The courtyard part I can see him soloing, but not the cathedral, he's full of shit.

Cathedral isn't too tough if you can pull worth a damn. I just can't see him putting out enough dps to avoid respawns.

Priest buddy and I went thru it some more last night, just the 2 of us

I think we could do most of it, but I'm not sure we could kill the bosses

Herod should be doable, but not too sure about the others

I bet he couldn't even do the houndmaster. You are taking the named + 3 dogs.

houndmaster wouldn't be too bad

Just a matter of enough dps on boss to kill him before you have to FD
can fear one of the dogs as well

I could tank 2 of those, while pet tanks boss (my dps is on the boss)

Just get a warrior to run up and hit sweeping strikes + retaliation with a nice slow high damage two hander... you'll see all of those mobs crumple.

Scarlet Monastery is by far one of my favorite zones.

The Herod encounter was a blast.

Regardless, I'd pay to see a movie of a 42 hunter soloing the zone.

My guild was in Zul'Farrak two nights ago and this dropped...

I was able to take on two monks at a time at level 40 as a warrior... I don't see how that changes with hunters?

We had one of those rings drop randomly from some trash mob in Maraudon on the first night I was there.


I was tooling around in the armory wing of SM the other day.

It was pretty doable until I got up the stairs into the Myrmidon/defender area, but I didn't go any further than the first 3-group.

Set Freeze trap, marked one, sent in pet, had him growl the first, growl a second, then put it back on first. Used Multi-shot. The untaunted one runs for me, gets a frosty 20 second time-out, so pet's tanking two, and I tank the other once trap breaks.

By the time the first was dead, I was around 50% health/mana, pet was at about 40% health. I sicc pet on the one on me, I disengage, reposition, put pet on the frist again, scatter the one that had been on me, and go back to work on #2.
I finally went oom with pet at about 20% (had to heal a few times), and the second mob only down to about 40%.

I feigned, pet died, and I gave it up. I just didn't have the patience to rez pet, recoup, and whittle down the next two, rinse and repeat all the way to Herod's room like that. Besides, Herod hits pretty hard (or at least he did when I was 36 :P), there's a good chance I wouldn't be able to handle him anyway. Besides, I already have his helm. What else does he have of worth?

Morgraine and Whitemane together? Would be interesting to see if I could manage to burn her down before her boy sixed me or my pet.


On the other hand, I re-visited RFK the other day, ripped it up, and helped a friend get a dagger upgrade he needed pretty badly but couldn't round up a group for.

Newbs these days... nobody does lowbie dungeons anymore...

we also scored a ring of saviors off trash mobs in mar last night.

That hunter is full of shit even if he was a badass puller he would still get jumped and raped just with his level aggro in cathedral, tonight i managed to kill whitemane before she could ressurect morgraine being on the 20th cathedral run with Kyntaro we managed to break this encounter with white dead before she could rez Morg left him permantly fallen but oddly enough still able to attack him but un able to loot him to get the much needed item for DE for Kyn's weapon enchant.
