My mom takes Herbalife. She takes a buffet of about 15 pills before she eats and some after. That's insane.

Hun - Was talking to my friends on my WLS boards and one of the guys mentioned that the cost to benefit ratio was not worth it. He said you do feel good and pumped up but didn't get much in str gains. No wonder GNC gave it to you free. They try to get you hooked on expensive product so you will go back and buy it.

I would wager that like creatine it is only really good for you if your body doesn't develope enough during the work out to help muscles.

I thought this thread was about nitrous and then thought it was even more weird that it was mop who was posting about nitrous in the fit forum hehe

I am going to buy some of this stuff soon, i've heard a lot of good reports about it. One friend told me to buy it, and he is a runningback for Michigan and said it was the best stuff he has taken.

Before you stick some pill into your body you should have the option of reading the science behind it. That article speaks to the science as do the follow up posts. It is long but lots of good info on those boards. Just skim it if you can.

I read it, and was interested but wanted to comment on someone else's post that amused me. I apologize for not sticking to the topic :(

lol araby.. i wasnt busting your chops.. the article was way long and technical.
You guys are right. My point was more that ya gotta read the info though if you plan to buy or try it. That way you can find out if you are wasting your money or putting your health in danger.

I Don't believe there is enough solid research on the subject - I would wager that NO2 is much like creatine - if your body doesn't produce enough during work out it is the greatest thing in the world, outside of those circumstances you get marginal gains.

After a couple days of using I can say -
I feel less bloated ( had pizza the other night usually feel like I have it in my stomach for 4 or 5 days)
During my work out I don't notice anything different, afterward I notice a spike in energy level though I don't feel just completly wipped out. Which usually after a heavy day I am exhasted.
I am mmore tired at night though, feels like I have less energy, it could be though because this was just a rough week all in all .

It does have the creatine with it, yes. I do find the energy level off and on are little different though not alot, well not enough to get me to purchase it again.

I owuld like to point out, the artical that Stacy linked, the same people are avid fans of a couple different trainers that have been linked to pro athletes and steriods (David Boston being one) I don't put a whole lot of faith in their science.

So did you like it? Did it work good?

well here is my thought in a week and a half test, if that

Goods: I felt I had more energy during work outs - not alot, but like I had a coffee before I lifted, I did have a couple really good lift days( but I am also mid russian cycle which has alot to do with the strength of the lifts)My max on a few things was about 5 - 7 % heavier( again more of that goes to the 8 week cycle I am near the end of)

Bads: at night, I crashed- I was exhasted when I got home every night I took it, usually my energy level is fairly constant all day til I hit bed, I was struggling to get through the door every night
I think it is stupid to take 8 pills 2 times a day- it is too fucking much, make a liquid and we'll talk.

Over all I thought it was decent, I think it is over charged for and in a year will be cheaper.

Where did you buy it? I see it selling for about $32 a bottle online.

Down from around $100 last year. Not too bad. Still, taking all those pills a day sucks, think I will stick with Cell-Tech.
