Microsoft Corp., world’s largest software maker, has made a decision to bring on Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of the popular Final Fantasy series, to work on two role-playing games (otherwise known as RPGs) for its next generation of gaming console, Xbox 2.

I dont know how suscessful they going to be with two RPG titles when sony (probably) will still be the better RPG system. Eight years + of sonys RPG history isnt going to be effected that much by a handful of (likely) poor releases.

Not to leave out that one man dosent make the FF series great, if it wasnt for the entire team they wouldnt have half the game they do. (note: writer kazunari nojima)

I liked 9 the best out of all of them

Part of it was all the flashbacks to all the previous FF's

The story was pretty fun, and I really liked a bunch of the characters

I may just be less picky, but I liked every single one of them.

With the OBVIOUS exception of FF: Mystic Quest

I could write a better game, seriously.

I liked FF: Mystic Quest =\

It was a fun afternoon killer to try to make my best speed run through it.

The thing I hate the most is how linear most of them are and easy to navigate... SoM & SoM2 & SoEvermore give me headaches still(pre-Flammie/ship).

whoa good thing you gave it enough time to see if it actually sucked.

why should i have to play for hours to see if i like it? if it doesn't immerse me or pull me in immediately, i don't care to push through it just to see if it ever interests me. i liked the throwback to the black mage in ff9, but i really just don't like squaresoft's newer games. i liked them when they were 2d and hand-drawn. just a personal preference man, sorry

I found FF1 today at Electronics Botique for only 34.99 w/o the box/instruction booklet! I was so excited I didn't buy it.

Click, click, downloaded, click, play.

My NES doesn't work so I use the emulator's.

I wish it did because playing Faxanadu with a keyboard is shit and I loved playing with the controller.

In a game that is designed to run you 50-80+ hours you could at least have given it one ? ><

Tis like a book sir

7 was shweet and FFT was probably my favorite. Besides FFX and FFX-2 it looks like the FF crew can do no wrong.

FF1= The own
FF2= Good story, weak ass lvl system
FF3= Almost better than 1
FF4= Played my copy till it died
FF5= class system was nice, rest of the game sucked
FF6= Great game
FF7= Good - its no FF4 though
FF8= ONE THE CRAPPIEST GAMES EVER MADE
FF9= Fun, liked the references to previous games
FF10= POS
FFT= Owned

Mistwalker also just acquired a few more former Squenix developers recently. I think its safe to say that Mistwalker IS Squaresoft now.

FF1= The Begining, and in the begining it was good.
FF2= The second coming, with the second coming, came some shitty things, but it was good.
FF3= The black knight came, and with his coming all things were good
FF4= And lo and behold, Perhaps the gleaming light of salvation, and it was good.
FF5= In the dawning came new classes, and with the classes it was good, Tho it wasnt good because the game sorta..sucked.
FF6= Yet behold! A clown. And with the coming of the physco clown all things were made right, and it was beyond good. It was exellence. This is trully a pinacle. and it is good.
FF7= and the new age came, the age of polygon! and it was good, although intirely overblown and fanboi'd to death. but it was good.
FF8= With the coming of Poly-gone, they should have taken said advice and it would have been good. instead this is what happens when you do lsd. and it was bad.
FF9= And they made it good. For Dyne is good, and grand, and all things are made good for now.
FF10= The PS2 comes, and it is bad. for it is not good, but very very bad. Remember, Big Bouncy Boobies does not a FF make.
