Just curious, how many of you have quit? And why?

Whether it be a small hiatus or extended leave for other reasons...I'm just curious.

I quit for the time being. I never really got into it. Gid thinks I just havent found my class because I always slink back to my priest, he might be right. He wants me to start over on another server with a coworker of his and his girlfriend I despise.

I'm down to once a month, but I'm not resubscribing unless I suddenly start having a lot more fun that I have been when my account is up in April.

I am on a temporary leave, I just can't afford to spend money on WoW right now, I have too many other things going on that require way too much of my cash

Lyion, Darcler, come play alliance with me on my other server.

No real reason for quitting in particular other than boredom. Once you get 60 and start grinding BRS for gear and doing the raid thing, you realize that WoW is just as pointless as EQ. It's all just a big race for gear. WoW was a great way to kill time for a couple of months and my warrior was kickass fun, but I don't have any real desire to invest that much time into it.

I'm going to get 60 and just grief alliance n00bs and spread hate and discontent until I get banned. Then I'm done with MMOGS altogether.

i had a 3 week period where i considered cancelling

It's definately not holding my interest the way EQ did (or any of the NHL, MADDEN Final Fantasy games even)

Instance runs are really fun the 1st time, and even the 2nd, but after that, you lvl so fast, and stuff becomes trivial so fast

game is way too damn easy

I'm still playing because I pvp every night and ever night that I don't pvp we're progressing in Molten Core. It should tide me over till battlegrounds.

The nice things about MMOs is you can always come back if you get the itch later.
The bad thing is turnover is always high as people discover real life owns gaming full time.

Hailey is starting to scoot around, so I am playing with her on the floor more.

Yeah pretty much all the same reasons I haven't had the will to even log in.

Game is WAY too damned easy and can't hold my interest.

I've found myself much more challenged playing a warrior. A shaman is too easy - I could breeze through everything. The warrior takes talent to play effectively - especially solo. I was getting kind of burnt out till I switched - now I enjoy it just fine.

I bought EQ2, thinking I just didnt like playing WoW. I uploaded it, started a char and quit that night. EQ2 is kinda boring at low levels. If I cant get passed being bored at low levels, I cant play the game :(

Maybe I'm just spoiled being a shaman, I might try out one last class before I call it quits.

As it stands now, I feel no accomplishment soloing anything. Maybe if I try a more gimped class I will enjoy it more *shrug*

If not, EQ2 here I come. (which was more fun than WoW beta)

Finawin - have you EVER tried to actually understand anything you're talking about? You have played a single class (to any extent) and you making sweeping comments about how the game is gimp and no fun. To make it even more pointed, you chose the most powerful class in the Horde and then infer from that that EVERYthing is like your tiny, limited experience.

I mean this in all fairness and 100% constructively... build your opinions off of more than a tiny sample. Not just in regards to WoW, but in your entire life. You limit yourself by taking a nibble of something, find you dislike it, then declare to the world in no uncertain terms that the entire "thing" is horrible and sucks. Learn to expand your horizons and base your opinion on much more than you experience in the first few interactions with something.

That's why I posted this thread, to see how other people experienced it and why.

It seems to me the general consensus is the game is too easy.

In beta I played a hunter up to the 30's as well, same ol' same ol'.

Playing a character to the 30s takes all of a few days... once again - limited experience.
