WTS - "special" Xbox
I am selling one of my Xbox.
The DVD drive does not work very well anymore for watching movies or playing games from but it works great for backing up your games to the built in 120GB hard drive I have installed and playing them from the hard disk. It starts stuttering like an hour in to a movie and will sometimes read "dirty disc" error after extended game play from the drive. Load times from the hard disk are waaay faster than playing off the DVD drive.
Steep learning curve involved in customizing the XBox more than it is now but the possibilities are quite impressive.
$200 + shipping.

It'll cost you $400 for a new one unless you want to do the work yourself... I'll consider offers but $200 is pretty fair.

Jesus fuck people.
It's got a 120GB hard drive in it, a fully functional alternative OS, GB advanced emulator with 2GB of roms, about 40 Xbox games, the DVD dongle and tons of other shit.
If you don't want to buy it, cool but it's worth way more than $200.

I agree, with mods it's worth about 300-400 bucks easy. The borked dvd drive is minimal, you can order replacement for that, or just set up a USB dvd drive.
personally im trying to save money for a house remodelling.

On to an 8-10gb hard drive?
So you buy the box for $150 new, a chip for $30 (mine is NOT chipped btw, it's software only, l33t), 120GB drive for $80 or so, DVD kit for another $30 and then have fun figuring out how to get the drive imaged and formatted for the Xbox. It's not easy.
Look online... see how much a premodded box with a hard drive upgrade is. Then come back and buy mine for $200 and smile.
