I personally got a warm feeling inside whan I saw his conviction.

That picture makes me feel bad for his wife. He's a dick, I hope she leaves him, takes the remaining money from his accounts and shacks up with a pool boy.

If I were him I would take 50 million and pay some ex-general to lead a massive army of guerrilla warriors from all over the world to take over the prison and break him out with the promise of tons more cash later. While this is all happening I would be filming it and making it into the biggest reality TV show ever.

Well im not sure on this but wouldnt they freeze his assets and maybe even take whats left. This is just a thought.

Why do you think the wife is crying? You don't think she actually loved him and hurts because he is going to jail do you? She is crying because she just lost it all and her house in the Hamptons

Ebbers gambled by taking the witness stand late in the trial, insisting he was unfamiliar with the details of accounting and knew nothing about the fraud taking place on his watch.

isnt the whole reason they get paid obscene amounts of money is because "their responsible for the whole company"?

i think a more appropriate punishment for this guy would be to confiscate everthing he owns (or he put under his wifes name) sell it and distribute the money to the people he stole from

And that's just the traders, Lay directed and ordered such behavior, on TOP of the accounting fraud, and the engineered executive bailout of their stock holdings, so they kept most of their money, while regular employees weren't allowed to sell, and in most cases, lost everything.

I'm not a big fan of the death penalty, but Kenneth Lay and all his cronies should be burned at the stake.

Ebbers was just as bad with MCI. I personally know people who's entire retirement accounts were wiped out by this turd.

They need to sock it to these people. I was glad he was convicted.

These guys affected the lives of a lot more people than your average serial killer. Frankly, I think the death penalty would be appropriate... Or at the very least put them in a real jail in the general population, and make sure everyone there knows he probably stole money from them or someone they know... make it personal for the cons.
