I walk into the coffee shop and order the most romantically-named coffee possible so the cute girl behind the counter will notice me.
We make vague references to ideas we heard about in our Intro to Philosophy course we took at the community college across the street and she ends up giving me a slip a paper with her phone number and an URL to her blog.

we chat for a couple of hours about the obscure french new wave film director jean-luc godard. we go to flicks 'n' picks, a local independant movie rental store and pick out his film "Contempt" it's godard's telling of homer's odyssey. we watch with the lights just dim enough to catch the sparkle in eachothers' eyes. we kiss. a forest.

A grumpy 30-something year old reading the International Herald Tribune and drinking doube espressos is heard to laugh out loud when you refer to Godard as 'obscure', then goes back to reading.
