Well, if you are looking for fun single player games, here are a few choices

Splinter Cell, Chaos Theory
Jade Empire
Temple of Elemental Evil

Guild Wars is kinda like EQ/WOW, IMO.

Guild Wars has an in-depth PvE game that can be played completely single-player, through the use of henchmen (brilliant idea). Its like an EQ-FPS-Diablo mix. Unique game, entertaining.

Got back in the mood for a crpg, so I dug Greyhawk back out the other day.

I forgot about how buggy it was (even with patches), the low level cap, small party size, the retarded npc scripting (how I hate them. just give me 1 more PC slot for my party, that's all I want), and how short it is... and why the hell can't I enchant quarter staves or rapiers ><

Other than that, it's a pretty neat game. Another year or so in development, and it might have been really good.

If only someone would make a crpg that combines the depth and breadth of story, sidequests and world of BG, the 3d dungeons, movable camera, and mod-ablity of NWN with the by-the-book approach to applying the actual ruleset in Greyhawk. That would be truly sweet.

Ah Greyhawk, memories man. I still vividly remember certain scenes in 'Saga Of Old City' the first Gord book. Good stuff.

You know what? I take back most of what I said about bugginess. I did some hunting around on the Atari community ToEE forums, and then on to the Circle of Eight forums, and I really have to hand it to the modding community and Troika employees who voluntarily worked to fix so much of what was busted on release. They've really done a hell of a job polishing up this game with all their patches.

Check out the Livonya 1.5 patch especially, really makes the game worth trying again.
