So, just go this game, seems fun, and kind of endless like EQ but without giving your life away to it. Anyone play, and what have you found are good solo combos?

Elder Scrolls 3, Morrowind

it fucking sucked
took me like... 4 hours before my character was so badass that no batle was very hard at all... I *really* wanted a game with eternal depth and it soo didn't live up to that rep.

It's pretty good, but it's daddy "Daggerfall" has more realism and a better atmosphere, despite the graphics.

I got bored after about 2 hours. I like linear games because if it's too open ended I don't have the attention span to finish it unless it's REALLY engrossing story-wise.

I played someone consistently for a few days, got bored...
Re-made a caster, I liked it much more.

Hmmm... maybe I should do that? I played a rogue... seriously, I gave it a LOT of chance. I got him to level 28... nothing was hard at all. I played a lot more than 4 hours, but... that's about how long it took for me to get bored with it. All the time after that was simply 'nothing else to play' time.

Yeah being a caster and getting into the crafting of weapons with spells kicks ass (if youre rich)
I had a dagger that procced off an insane amount of small heals to myself if Im forced to melee lol

I actually never got tired of it... I'd play it today IF
It wasn't the buggiest piece of shit console game in the history of the market. I constantly had lockups (brand new PS2), corrupted save games, quest bugs... and now I'm at the point where I can't play more than 5 minutes before it starts telling me that it can't detect a controller in port 2 (even in a single player game).
Fun stuff.

morrowind is all about enchanting. if you don't play a spellcaster, it's a guaranteed bore
if you play a caster (with enchanting skill) and do the soulgem deal and make your own custom items with custom effects, it has way more playability, i swear

i dunno i liked morrowind. im one of those who like non linear games, but i hate that you can be uber mage in god armor. im a bit of a purest and always will think that casters should wear cloth robes etc.
my theif on this game is level 25 in glass armor and is more or less indestructable. morrowind is great if you just want to look at the pretty (at time of release) graphics.
suggestion is to get a few mods
i only use a few
GIANTS adds dragons giants etc to game
super creeper gives the creeper almost infinite coin so you dont have to spend hours buying and selling to him to get rid of your daedric stuff
Bank of Vardenfel so you can buy houses and dont have to lug around all that coin
one of these days ill get around to finishing main quest hey Dan what the heck is your new phone number? give me a call or something
