Is there a way to check message history? Like what has been typed and received and stuff? Thanks

No No, my friend's daughter is 14 and has been lying to her parents about going out with older kids like 17 and 18, she wants to check on her and is really concerned. Thanks for any help you can give.

You cant. You have to start saving from now on. There is an option in the preferences menu.
No way to check what has been said though.
You can also download a keylogger, but that is shady and I would hate anyone who put one on my computer.

I had one a couple years ago. It's called a keystroke recorder. It not only records every keystroke, but it logs every web page visited, every email sent to a person or received, etc. Basically, it's a ZERO % privacy recorder. It tells everything and even time/date stamps everything. I would highly recommend this for guys who's wives sit around at home all day chatting on the computer while their husbands are at work. Keeps the women in check.

It's activated by installing it like any software, and then to check it from time to time, you just type in a code that they gave you while the computer is on. :teehee: It really does work great. Get the Spector Pro 4.0. Antivirus software can't pick up on it either :P

looks great, but would suck if you found out someone was doing it to you.

Yeah it would. So be good online if you're in a relationship, then you won't have anything to worry about :P

Wouldn't that suck though if you found out some dirt on your spouse? It could just ruin your whole marriage. I guess it comes down to how much you're willing to tolerate and be forgiving of...

P.S. Spying on your kids is deceitful.

Even if she is a whore.

I belive there is a chat logging feature in AIM, you just need to turn it on. I know there was one in earlier versions but I havn't use AIM in a while so not sure its still there.

I thought it logged all chat by default

I know all my IM programs do (yahoo, msn, icq)

I didn't say she was hanging around with older boys, so why jump to the whore conclusion? I am beginning to see why you remain single.

Keyloggers is what got my ex fired from Internet America. A guy put one on his computer, got his passwords and other things from him, ghosted our IP and ordered a shitload of porn and other goodies from places with a stolen credit card from some company. Sent to a PO box. And I couldnt prove that it wasnt us (me) because that was in the 8 minutes where I couldnt get on EQ due to dialup having to reconnectg, I was in the process of logging back on.

Ok, no point to that, but seriously, dont spy on her. Your friend should trust her daughter. Just keep an eye on her like any normal person would and things will be ok.

Spying is totally justified if she thinks her daughter is way out of bounds. If I thought, and had evidence, that my 14 year old was planning sex encounters with 18 year olds over a chat program, <<<keylogger inc>>>

My chat program automatically logs everything. It wouldn't hurt to see if it did.

Or she could talk with her kids :dunno:

Kids never lie right.

Not if you establish a trusting relationship with them. If you blow up at every thing they do, they will. If you calmly talk, have civil conversations, compromise, then they rarely have anything to hide.
