I'm having Utter game burnout..

I can't find anything to hold my interest outside of SMAC right now gamewise....

I've been playing Final Fantasy 3, Secret of Mana is up next, then Chrono Trigger (which I've never played). Also messing around with Silent Hunter 3, good ww2 sub sim, reminds me of the old games I used to play on Commadore and Amiga.

fuck ff3 and SoM and skip right to chrono trigger, you won't regret it at all

ps: play zelda and stuff, lyion. just get a console and some games and play. sometimes playing games sans computer problems or without worrying about your processor speed is nice :p

play the pirate games, either sid meier's or pirates of the carribean

I keep my Nintendo and SNES around for just such an occasion, personally.

I've heard Chrono Trigger is good, have it, but haven't played it yet. Zelda has always been good, early Final Fantasy (imo pre-ps1). Or if you just need somewhere temporary to vent, play "You Don't Know Jack" till you run out of questions, it was good for a giggle.

Dude...story of your life. Stop playing video games.

Dude I just get MMO burn out. I just hit periods where I need something new or just an extended breaks.

Usually I can fire up Farcry, Halo 2, EQ2, WOW, Age of Empires, etc, etc when I'm bored but lately every time I sit down I can't get into anything. I have an Xbox and Gamecube and I hit Blockbuster and try out different things.

MMO burnout is common as I get irked by the grind and lootquest. I've not fried on single player games before now, though.. Everything seems tedious....

He's totally right, it's almost like you hate video games but still play them.

Go jogging.

Chrono Trigger is better than SoM, but cant just put SoM down like that Drem, SoM is very good game also.

I just finished Stephen White's 'Warning Signs' this week. I'm currently reading Belgarath the Sorcerer to fulfill my fantasy fix.

Alpha Centauri is still holding my attention. We need a better Civ/AC game out...

I just plowed through Into the Wild and I am now 300 pages into The Dark Tower V: Wolves of Calla... I didn't realize that the series had been finished, so here I am.

Wolves of Calla sucked ass. Song of Susannah was better, but the Dark Tower series didnt entertain me. It had some great bits with way too much tedious reading in between,

The Dark Tower series is what Audiobooks were made for. It's much more entertaining to listen to than read.

Try the new Hearts of Iron.

Get a new hard drive, put your old one in a safe spot. Find an Operating system you know very little about and load it up... good for days, possibly weeks worth of entertainment.

In all seriousness though have you ever played the Thief series of games by Edios? Quite unique and fun.
