Holly crap, Detroit News charges $4k to put a 1/16 page add in homestyle section in sunday edition. No wonder you never see small buisiness adds in it.

Cheap, I have heard $100k to take out a full page add in the New York Times or other large newspapers.

Gotta make money somehow...

NY times is read all over the world, nobody but Detroiters give a shit about Detroit news. 4k is silly for such a small add.

How much would it run you for a non-sunday add, Ganzo?

$2800 but who reads daily paper, i'd need to run it alot more often and endup paying more

Probably a lot cheaper to advertise on cable and you'd reach more people.

My friend's business got a lot more customers and inquiries after he start to advertise on the radio during drive time.

Google Adwords are good and fairly cheap, but making it successful really depends on what type of thing you're marketing.. I do affiliate sales online and it makes me money np~
