I did, I use allakhazam now. Allakhazam has always been about the gamers anyways.

PS: It's IGE Tikker, not IGN.

I'll bite.. Who is IGE? Why would it matter if a gaming site controls thottbot?

Has Blizzard done a better job than SOE at stopping Ebaying? I can't see it being as popular as EQ, but WOW is a lot bigger....

I run Thottbott still when I play. Is there a downside to it, outside of the backend database being run by Yantis?

Using thottbot you help give them hard data on mob concentration, and which mobs on average drop the most gold, and items they can sell for gold

Ebaying doesn't seem to as big of an issue in WoW because most things are Bind on Pickup (no drop)
also just the insane volume of items cuts down on the cost

it's not like EQ where you might use an item for 6+months or more (I had that spear for like almost a year)

the gold farming and selling is still pretty rampant, but it's still just not quite like EQ

The ebaying of items isn't bad but gold farming is completely insane. It's been quoted as a 500million dollar market now. Below is an interesting read.

Just type in the character name and it will search all servers.
Hope you find who you are looking for.
