Parents sue State of Utah over medical treatment

How can parents be charged with kidnapping their own child? What the hell is wrong with Utah?
Apparently, the State "ordered" chemotherapy on their 12 year old son for some very rare form of cancer that may have been misdiagnosed. The state fought for custody of the kid so they could force treatment. The parents fled the state and their son, now 14, appears to be healthy.
Anyone know more about this case?
