Worth the $$?

Think Im about to do something financially unwise, but oh so satisfying. Build a new computer. Almost ready to drop the dough on an Athlon X2 4400+. Was initially considering an Athlon 64 4000+. Cant decide! Anyone else out there live on the bleeding edge and have a dual core chip?

Just don't touch those intel "dual cores". They are steaming piles of shit from everything I have read about them and heard from.

Yeah going AMD this time for sure. Either the X2 4400+ or just the single core 64 4000+, which is still a really fast CPU, and over $100 less than the dual.

Next paycheck I'm going to dump my MB/Processor and go 64bit.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819103494

And I'm going to overclock the ever living shit out of it with liquid cooling. (My video card too)

I'll be getting an Nvidia 6800GT (probably Chaintech)

After that I'm dumping all of my money into the bank after I get a new wardrobe.

for godsakes guys what ever you do dont touch the damn xp 64bit Professional. Yeah it runs faster clock wise but you cant get alot of crap to run on it. Im still using Beta drivers for a lot of programs and alot of MS Hardware wont work on the fucker...for instance the new Biometric reader XP release 1 month before xp64 bit. from what they are say there is no driver planed for the near future.

Yeah I read up on the 64 edition, not going near it. Need to give it 6 months or more.
