Pentium D (dual core), Windows XP 64bit and 64 bit apps.

I am now selling the new dual core pentium computers...
I was wondering if their is any need to start bundling these with the 64 bit version of Windows XP?
Are there any new new games or commonly used applications that are actually using 64bit architecture at this point to make it worth the change?
Does the new dual core processors receive any benefit from using a 64 bit OS?

Only for servers. There is no reason to run this on a desktop for years.

no games out right now are taking advantage of the dual cores processor.

I just bought a dual core Athlon, but not touching xp 64. Ill just wait for Longhorn. Dont think xp 64 is supported at all really. Lyion has it right. Wouldnt deal with it right now. Longhorn is December anyway right? and will be 64
One thing to remember, XP Home will not support dual cores. Make sure those machines all running Xp Pro or something similar. Just a heads up, though you probably already knew that.

Windows Vista, formerly Longhorns, wont be release until next year. Beta 1 for Vista will be available on August 3, 2005.
