I reinstalled this today and was fucking around and godamn that game was great.
I can't think of any game in which I spent more cumulative time.
You think Blizzard would get off their asses and reinvent this game with modern technology.
Speaking of RTS's... are there any modern ones that are fun to play or has that genre pretty much died?

Did I hear somewhere they were gonna make SC and Diablo for the DS or something? Portable and online.

I would buy the DS just to play that one game in that case. It's to bad the genre died... That game was the shiznit to play online with a couple of friends.

In other Blizzard news the company has announced it is closing Blizzard North, moving most of its employees there to the Irvine headquarters. The (former) North team is working on an unannounced project.

Yeah Starcraft:Ghost, still in production.
And that Star Wars RTS looks sweet.

Yah I have never played Warhammer...On a side note I was disappointed when they cancelled that MMOG's production. It looked pretty sweet.
The Warhammer RTS looks decent, but that Star Wars RTS looks amazing... I would like to see something like that done with StarCraft.
I really am surprised they haven't continued that saga.... Everyone around the world who played PC games played the original. You think it would be a no brainer to create a 2nd.
When is the Star Wars RTS due out?

Command and Conquer was the pinnacle of that genre. After that, it was just more of the same crap over and over again. Starcraft, Age of Empires, Warcraft were all just ripoffs of Westwood's games, Dune 2 : The Battle for Arakis being the first. Never could get in to Starcraft but I thought Age of Empires was pretty fun. Warcraft was always

Rome: Total War
ROCKS
Can't believe I forgot it....
P.S. C&C is for noobs, that shit is so generically gay.

LOL - that's like saying Civilization is generically gay just because it's old. Civilization didn't win the awards by being generically gay - and neither did C&C.
Go play GTA some more, Lumpy... you obviously have no idea what a real game is nor what trendsetting means.

Civilization didn't suck...
C&C was barely entertaining when I was 10, too easy and as I said, lame storyline.
I don't play GTA...never cared for it much.

A new Dungeon Keeper game would kick a new StarCraft game's ass, too bad Bullfrog is gone..

EA bought it or something didn't they?
