They always infest our tomato plants. They are the larvae of the Hawk Moth.

One website said the most effective way to get rid of them is to just keep picking them off the plants. You can also spinkle pesticides on your tomato plants, but... /pass

Friend of mine used to use nicotine, he extracted it from cigarettes and sprayed it on his tomatoes.... maybe that'd work?

I know if you take cut hair and put it around your garden rabbits will stay out of it.

Nicotine isn't that hard to get a hold of. Maybe you can't purchase it in the wal mart garden section but I bet there are a few bug control people in the area who use it.

collect cigarette butts...about 10 will do. boil in water and skim the stuff off the top

my friend used to put a couple drops of tobasco sauce on them. That method seems to work.

Pure nicotine is super poisonous. A few drops on your skin left to soak in can kill you. Thats what makes it a good pesticide.

Yessir! Niccotine kills 100% of everything, every time. Just mix a bunch up in some water and you're good to go. There's a world of pissed off farmers out there that still use it.

works good on cats too. take said stuff skimmed from the pot did a needle in it and shoot thru a straw at a cat.
poof 1 hour latter...dead feline.

These are very common here as well and can be killed with a spray that is non-toxic to the plants and other animals.
