Interesting to see how certain moderators will lock threads, delete posts, edit posts by others or threaten posters for criticizing them and pointing out time and time again that they're uninformed about subjects.

This has happened over and over again, and it's kind of tiresome when a moderator uses his or her powers when they're getting their head kicked in. The rest of us can't do it, why should they? If they can't support their claims, they should stop being stupid enough to make them, no?

Maybe if a given moderator is angry about losing an argument, they can ask another moderator to take care of it instead?

Actually if you really want to get specific, Lyion is an admin and can do what he pleases. He doesn't exactly answer to anyone.

There are mulitple mods and admins. If anyone has a specific issue anyone can talk to them, or one can PM Vonkaar as he is the captain of the ship here.

I certainly make mistakes, and I'm glad to look at them and discuss things.

I do not touch EE, CC, or unmodded forums at all. I rarely touch the moderated forums. I don't appreciate accusations of censoring as the only thing I censor are personal information or personal attacks.

I'll be glad to look at anything and anyone can PM me. However, if one is looking for consensus regarding ad hoc personal attacks in moderated forums, then sorry, that is not up for democratic debate or discussion.

The problem is that you're one of the worst people on the board for tossing insults, but when you are insulted, you moderate the thread to your liking

The threads that you get owned in get moderated in a fashion to make it seem like you're abusing your mod priviledges

If someone else is doing it for you, get them to stop

Left wing vs right wing politics aside this is very hypocritical and complete bullshit. I argue you to show some examples. Show me mod abuse at all, please. An OP requested lock is not mod abuse, sorry. Removing extreme nastiness in moderated forums is not mod abuse.

I will absolutely toss and recieve insults happily in EE when someone wishes to troll and be nasty. So will Vonk and the others. I do not moderate EE. I do not moderate or censor the unmod'ed forums at all. I mod and keep people <mostly> following the rules in the moderated ones. Show me doing a personal attack in a moderated forum, Tikker.

The simple fact is a good percentage of people are pretty happy with the way I mod, and even those who do not agree with me tend to accept I try and do things fairly. Those who don't tend to share a common theme. I have no problems with criticism and I admit when I've made mistakes, which has happened.

Given the fact I've almost never edited a Toss post, and he habitually skirts the line and personally insults me all the time is really all the proof I need to give from my perspective.

The boards aren't perfect, but saying I frequently or even almost ever abuse mod powers is a simply not true.

Also, just because I post often does not mean I mod much.

anyway, my point is, that locking threads is one thing...but editing people's posts is another. Editing your own post is, too.
