I'm becomming very unsympathetic... they should have left when they were told to evacuate. These aren't elderly or sick people running around and shooting guns - these are able-bodied adults who wouldn't leave when told to.

And now they DEMAND to be rescued.

OK. There was MAYBE, not even verified one shot possibly fired at a Chinook, straight from head of LA Natl Guard. Rescue efforts proceeding. There are old, sick, babies, children, down there, all going on 4 days without food, water, sanitation, medicine. People are starting to die on the street. They need help NOW. I dont know what the fuck is taking so long. At least fucking drop water and food from the air for chrissakes. Something. Im still crossing my fingers by nightfall more will be done.

How many of you have actually been to New Orleans in the last 5 years or so?

Let me describe it to you...


Picture a city that maybe had a huge war 10 years ago and is *kind of* rebuilt...

Now picture one of every 3 stores boarded up... Add to that bums and drug dealers EVERYWHERE. (I can't remember how many times I heard: "Eyyy whiteboy want some weed/coke?!"

Now add in a bunch of fat redneck drunk tourists you're starting to get the idea...

Now picture little to no white people other than tourists... The population is fat, very dirty and all poor and black. These people hang out on their porches all day swilling cheap malt liquor living off welfair... This is only when they aren't stealing, shooting each other and committing violent crime. New Orleans was the murder capital of the world for awhile and honor now bestowed on Atlanta.

If you can envision this that is New Orleans. I worked there for six months. It was the most god awful city I have ever been in. I haven't gone to Atlanta yet but New Orleans is probably on par with it's shittyness.

I don't feel bad for these fucking dirty animals. Hurricane Katrina has been god's way of punishing the black people for the last 50 years of crime they have perpetrated on this country.

Many people had dogs, and they cannot take them on the bus. A police officer took one from a little boy, who cried until he vomited. The policeman told a reporter he didn’t know what would happen to the dog.

I was all over Lousiana in those six months working. The whole place was a crime ridden nigger infested shithole.

It'd be downright criminal if a father armed himself to protect his daughters from the raving bands of rapists.

It'd be murderous if the old man who didn't evacuate because he couldn't move his crippled wife armed himself to try and keep her safe until help arrives.

Bullshit. A lot of you people laugh at my belief in arming oneself. Think it's insane that someone should actually think the need to do so is irrellevant in our society. This is the exact reason to do so. When the shit hits the fan civilization goes right with it, and no one deserves to be at the mercy of time, waiting for the National Guard to come defend them.

Yeah cause intensive care infants, medical personnel, and people too fucking old and sick to move easily should die like water logged rats.

They're not the problem and you know it. I haven't seen any intensive care infants out there driving forklifts into gates on jewelry stores and looting them.

The federal government cannot just step in and take over. They have to be asked for aid by the governor. Individual states still have rights and freedoms. It may sounds stupid in a case like this but that's how it is.
