It may be ugly, but imagine the applications! Risk-free drive-bys!

We're in for the rides of our lives kids.

Yeah, it kinda looks about as big as a sinus too...
Sadly, ugly as the thing is, I bet it drives so nicely.
We test drove a *gasp* Honda Element. They are 2nd in ugliness only to the Scion, but my god, they drive so nice, excellent gas milage, and the interior is HUGE. I mean as big as a minivan space-wise inside. Really family-friendly vehicle, and at $20K starting, it's not badly priced either.

Bullet-proof exterior, bullet-proof glass... the only good thing I guess is that the people who would do drive-bys with something like this would actually have to BUY it, as they don't look to be likely theft candidates with all the vault doors and shutters and such. Although were I to shoot at someone's house, I'd probably use one of these:

...and maybe one of these for fun:

I keep a Latitude D810 with one of these cards in my car at all times... I have had plans for a while to do something like this and Verizon's new EVDO network is the ticket.

I want to have a shop put in a notebook with a touch screen connected to the stereo and have access to the interwebz and my digital music service at all time. I think that would be pretty damn sweet.

Music on demand is the wave of the future. CD's and collecting MP3's are pretty damn lame.

I have been looking into something similar for a while, though without the whole touch screen and such. Certainly an interesting idea hooking up the computer to the verizon EVDO network. Wonder if the new phone has that disabled or not.

I need a new cell phone and am considering the moterola that he used, getting a bluetooth adapter for my laptop and trying it out.

I wasn't really thinking of using a phone as the actual modem to connect to the EVDO network... While it is totally feasible Verizon has an EVDO PCMCIA card meant for the job. That is what I use and intend to integrate eventually into a future vehicle of mine.

The fact that cars don't have internet yet is beyond stupid. These car companies are way behind the power curve of technology.

Oh... Using Verizon phones as a modem is a pretty kickass thing to do.... at work ; )

Disable your network connection, plug in phone, activate and play EQ while one the job.
