Postby webberran » Tue Dec 07, 2004 9:13 am

If I install a new MB under windows XP, do I need to repair my XP? Heard this needs to be done or is it as easy as it used to be under ME etc??

I've only HAD to reinstall once or twice after installing a new mobo. I would recommend it for a cleaner system. You will have to re-activate though.

If you do the one restore it does nothing to your system that you can detect. The other repair won't lose your information but it will require you reinstalling all your programs. (I can't remember what they are called, sorry). If you re-install it wipes your HD.

You may or may not need to re-activate dependent on how much you've changed on your system
