If you had the money to either upgrade your CPU or upgrade your Graphics card, which is better to reduce lag in games if you already have cable or DSL?

For a specific game?
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

AMD Athlon XP2500 OC'd to 2.2gig
Nvidia Ti4600 gpu
1 gig ram
cable internet

I play BF1942 (DC) mostly, and something in my system is causing lag and delays in shooting. I was thinking of either upgrading my CPU to the XP3200, or getting the new GFX 6800 AGP card. I don't like Ati Radeon cards, nor am I impressed with the FPS they're getting out of pci-express, so AGP is fine with me.

Ok, also... how big of a difference would it make if I bought one more gig of ram? Seems to me that 1 gig would be enough.

BF-1942 is heavily processor dependant.

Ram has very little impact after 1gb except in high end media manipulation.
