Bots.......been ready a lot about this on a few forums

One thing I have noticed is never do the Devs ever comment about it.

My questions are:

1. Is it a big problem on EQ2 ?

2. Does it effect others in the game?

EQ2 made it a bit more difficult to 2box (or more). There's so many styles, spells, wards, aggro management stuff that it's fairly obvious when someone is trying.

Quite a few games I've played have had the issue of bots.

The worst in my opinion was Ragnarok Online... about 2/3 the server population was bots during beta.

Blizzard recently dealt with the issue and banned a couple thousand accounts that used bots in WoW.

It is most likely being dealt with internally and no formal comments are being made.

I have thrown a few people from a group that I have thought were bots. As a shaman class I can pretty much tell when heals from the 'very quiet cleric' are not going off. I will try to keep up conversation in group. If for some reason they do not seem very talkative...i.e. "can you pick up courage buff? seems a bit cramped for bear form so I am gonna cast auspice." If after the third time I get no reply during next down time he accidentally gets kicked from group. This in turn gets a response very quickly from the 'bot masta'. At this point I tell him he can either get someone with a fucking pulse to sit at that computer and cast heals or he can find some other motherfucker to plvl his ebay twink.

I get rid of both this way...quite alot. For some reason my wife says i am not very tactful when it comes to this. She says I dont have any moral understanding of the concept. Oh well.
