Boggs, along with Tony Gwynn was the best pure hitter in the game. The guy was fun to watch and played with amazing intensity.

Boggs was elected in his first year of eligibility. He was selected by 474 out of 516 voters. That was the third highest total votes( nolan ryan 491 and george brett 488) in history. He also got the 19th highest percentage in hall history at 91.86%.
