i'm waiting in a 600 person queue right now
i'll probably be able to play for 30 min then get disconnected and have to wait again
but it's ok i don't care really
I didn't know queues existed... in all honesty, I haven't encountered one since when they did open beta.
That kinda sucks.

As many as 20 of the 88 servers running World of Warcraft were down over the weekend. These outages followed a scheduled systemwide, daylong outage on Thursday, during which time developer-publisher Blizzard was supposedly upgrading its server system. However, the changes simply caused even more widespread problems. "The servers were outright broken the evenings of Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday,"
As a result of the downed servers, many gamers were kicked off the servers or forced to endure waits of more than one hour...if they could log on at all. Finally, on Sunday, all the servers were again brought down for "emergency service."

I think a pissed off lowly cable-boy fresh out of Microskeelz who makes 10 dollars an hour pooped in one of the CDROM's and caused all this havoc.
Tossica: No, you're gay because you suck on cocks.

I just left my old guild that i went to Icecrown with to join a new guild with a lot of RL friends in it. Who look to raid high end content soon enough. Although i've found myself logging on once a day when i wake up to check auctions and that's about it.
I've been 47 for 2 in a half weeks, and 46 for 2 weeks before that. My interest in the game has gone down the shitter.
Paying 14 dollars a month to wait an hour to get on for 10 mins and wait another hour to get on for another 10 is bullshit. I rather play counter strike or sit in my room and stare at the ceiling. My spelling is l33tsauce btw.

[quote]'The game is capable of supporting this many players,' but it would probably be helpful to provide some background information. Based on our market analysis, we made some initial calculations about the size of the massively multiplayer online games market in the United States. We then accounted for new customers to the genre based on our previous games. Looking over this data, we did believe that there was the potential for an extremely sizable interest in a Blizzard MMOG. According to our research, other successful MMOGs in the U.S. had achieved roughly 300,000 subscribers after 12 months of operation. What ended up happening with World of Warcraft is that we achieved double these numbers in approximately the first six weeks of launch. We absolutely can support the number of copies we put on shelves, but we believed it would take us longer to get to this number in terms of players purchasing the game and logging on."
Translation: We got caught with our pants down, and we're scramblingto fix this shit as quick as possible. A hearty fuck you to Vivendi for rushing our release date
I read that on Penny Arcade too. Seems like they're in damage control mode. On the good news side, if they piss off 1/4 of their base, they wont have the 600k user problem anymore.
