Do you think Anticipation[5] is worth the 5 talent points?

I've avoided it for awhile now. I'm wondering if the 10defense makes any difference worth mentioning.

Unless you plan on tanking a lot, don't bother.

Warriors have the same skill and quite a few don't bother.

A Warrior I know did a bunch of math calculations from fights, and as I recall, it seemed to work out to 2 defense = 1 STA or so, as far as utility goes. I have that talent available to me too as a Paladin, and I didn't bother. Find something more useful to put your points into.

why wouldn't defense translate into armor points?

If I can see some parses I might think otherwise but I doubt 10defense will do much of anything.

Some warriors (like Zanchief) swear by defense, where others say get your max HP. I don't think either has been proven more effective.

Well this is what I am saying, until I see some log parses I think I'm going to go with my HP build.

quolyte did some testing with defense and found it really helps. You will have to ask him for specifics as I don't remember them.

If you're going to be a raiding shaman, you need to be focused on either the restoration or elemental trees. Enhancement and HP builds are really only good for if you're planning to solo or only do minor group play as you level. Later in life, you'll respec if you focus a lot on enhancement early.

I plan on respec'ing once I am done with my soloing stage of leveling.

But right now I am going strong and plowing through levels in the past few days of being able to play.

At 39 I am switching to restoration as I will have everything I want out of Enhancement.
