More drama than an episode of Buffy

Has Onyxia been killed yet?

Post by Menlaan »

Just curious. I haven't heard anything since the post about Conquest getting her down to 22%. Which guilds if any have killed her?

Supposedly a Korean guild killed her. Doesn't mean much though since they got to keep their beta characters. If the US players were able to then she'd have been killed a while ago.

I doubt anyone has killed her as some of the triggers are still "broken" and the 10 debuf limit is still in effect. After next patch you can bet she'll go down REAL quick

Such wisdom in that thread.

And it's still bullshit.

The part i liked was where all the lvl 30ish dudes were sure that the Koreans MUST be cheating

I don't think they realize that Blizzard is a religion Korea, and that people play their games professionally =\

I'm still not a fan of asian MMO players, nameless has made me a video-game racist.

Traditionally, Korean online games have been just that, online. They do not provide a box copy for players, and make the game client download only. This has set the expectation for how to operate an online game in Korea, and thus Blizzard used the same model.

The game is available for download for free. On the other hand, Korean players do not get a 1 month free trial period. Instead, the open beta is the equivalent of their free trial period. Also, Korean MMOGs generally charge a higher per month fee. For World of Warcraft, the monthly fee is approximately $24 a month.

1 dollar is 1024 Korean Won...

That doesn't say anything about how much they pay in Won per month, but it's just an FYI.

Still doesn't mean shit. Blizzard is only catering to them because Korea sucks them off personally. I don't care about the beta so much, it's the constant attention Koreans have always gotten from Blizzard in the past.

I've also checked out some things and basically if you consider from their beta start to the time it took them to kill Onyx, it took 5 months.. we're in what.. month 2?

people play their games professionally =\

I read that somewhere in the forum. Elaborate on that, how do people get paid to play video games? Do they get sponsored or something?

Yeah

a lot of hardware manufacturers (video card, Ram, monitor ) sponsor people

They show live starcraft/warcraft matches on tv, they have professional leagues where clans compete in CS, and other FPS, it's nuts
