Well, I'm glad the AFC East owns yet another trophy with Lombardi's name scribed on it. Secondly, I am glad to see the Pats take it. Regardless if you hate or love them - you can't deny they have one hell of a team.
They're a great coached, well oiled team. Most of the players seem very down to earth, have great attitudes, don't talk trash, don't rag on their opponents... I mean really, how long has it been sinse we've seen a team like that?
Finally the good guys win and the loud mouthed show boaters are silenced.
To be honest, despite my support of the Pats - I actually feel a little sorry for McNabb. He's a great player who's had to over come a lot of bullshit from those so called "fans" in Philly. There aren't many teams who have a fan base that's as rude, obnoxious, ignorant, and disrespectful as the Eagles... sept the Browns and Steelers. I'd like to see McNabb with a different team, honestly. A team who's fans wont boo him when he's announced as a pick - then shout praises and "I told ya so!" When he proves to be productive.
What I liked most about this Pats team (well over the past 4 years) is that they kept their mouths shut and played football. Not a whole lot of gloating, not a whole lot of disrespect. They showed up - played the game and hit their opponents where it hurt the most... on the field.
I'd like to see the Pats hit it again next year, but I have my doubts.
It's gonna be a couple more years before my Bills get to the play offs. We still don't know if Bledsoe will be starting next year, or not. To bad we can't travel back in time and bring the K-gun to the present.
