No, what is new with it?

I was always a big planescape fan myself.

I would but the only friends I do have that would be even remotely interested are extremely lazy and wouldn't play.

Though I dont see where the insult is from an RPG player calling another RPG player a nerd, I agree with Toss.

3.5 was an improvement on 3.0 which was a departure from the more rigid, memory intensive advanced system.

3.0 is based on the D20 open game license system and is a bit more fluid and easier to use. In 2.0 your different stats did varying things. 18/00 strength was +3 attack +6 damage for instance. With a 99% chance to open doors and a 15% chance to bend bars, or something like that.

3.0 streamlines this. That 18/00 you had in 2.0 is now a 24 in 3.0 (conversion rules) and instead of +3 attack, +6 damage your strength modifier is +8. this +8 helps in things like jumping, climbing, melee attacks (and damage) and other strength related skills and uses.

A dex of 18, gives a +4 bonus (you get an extra +1 for every pt above 11, so 12-13 is +1, 14-15 is +2, 16-17 +3, 18-19 +4, and so on), which is +4 to AC, to your tumble skill, open locks, move silently, hide in shadows, and other dex related skills and uses (Yes, AC is reversed in this one, starts at 10 and goes up, so a 23 AC is equivalent to a -3)

Bottomline, 3.0 and 3.5 are a bit easier to get into and faster to get going.

The reason I asked: I made a new class for 3.5, a shamanistic type class with some healing/damage spells and a selection of summoning abilities that buff their allies and do some damage on their own. Was looking for any comments, but no one seems to play :-(
