Travis Henry heading to Arizona

Post by Phlegm »

The Bills is reportedly dealing Henry to the Cardinals for LJ Shelton.

The Arizona Cardinals are reportedly closing in on a deal for Buffalo Bills running back Travis Henry.

According to the Rochester Democrat and Journal the Bills would send the disgruntled Henry to Arizona in exchange for left tackle L.J. Shelton.

Henry, who topped 1,300 yards in 2002 and 2003, lost his starting job last season to up-and-coming Willis McGahee and made his feelings known that he had no desire to be a back up in 2005. He has one year left on his current contract.

Shelton was the Cardinals' 1999 first-round draft pick, but he fell out of favor with coach Dennis Green last season. He's under contract through 2008 at $3 million per season.

Good. I don't want someone on the team who doesn't want to be there. In time his bad attitude would have matured and became a cancer in the locker room.

Audios Henry - take your sun screan!

So the Bills got rid of our other left tackle and got a cheaper one, but for Travis Henry. How sad.

All we can do now is wait till next season to see it turns out. I *hope* Losman won't take 100000000 years to develop. Regardless, without a decent O-line he's going have a lot of trouble *which* in an odd sort of way might be a good...

This is true since both guys were whining about wanting to be traded. Now the Bills get help for their offensive line while the cardinals get a replacement for Emmitt Smith.
