MVP Baseball 2005 or ESPN MLB 2K5?

Post by Tadpole »

Which one is better? Not sure which one I am going to buy. Friends tell me MVP Baseball 2005 is much better, but I bought ESPN brand last year and it was good. Need some opinions!

I am going to go with 2k5 - I tried MVp last year and it was so easy and was too arcade style for me, I shouldn't be able to hit 100 home runs with a rookie second basemen with no power. = )

Co worker is a huge fan of MVP, I busted him skipping out of work midday to run downtown to an EB to pick it up. His boss called him a fag for leaving work for video games =p

Though I am comparing it to last years MVP, the pitching control ( if you understand baseball) is 1000000 times better in 2k5. The hitting has a decent learning curve, though still a little difficult. The gm mode is kinda cool I shoulda picked a crappy team to start with thou

I will say I think 2k5 is a bit easy. Since i suck at the hitting, the games are still close.

The one thing I really really dislike is the baserunning functions. jesus. it sucks some serious donkey balls.

Are the espn games still being sold ridiculously cheap compared to EA's games?
