Buffalo signed Kelly Holcomb

Postby Phlegm » Sat Mar 05, 2005 7:24 pm

The Bills signed Kelly Holcomb to a 4yr/6.6 million dollars contract. He will back up J. P. Losman. I think Holcomb had been Cleveland best quarterback the last few years but for some reason the managements/coaches dont like to start him. At least the Bills will have a pretty good experience quarterback in case Losman is dud.

Browns respond by trading for Trent Dilfer. Interesting move, and I'd take Trent over Holcomb any day.

We're not going to know how Losman will pan out till the season starts, obviously. BUT, I can't see him coming off as a complete dud. I expect it will take a couple of years before he hits his peak - less he turns out to another Rothlcantspellhisfuckingnameburger... Which, is unlikely, but you never know. Anyway - getting a decent vet as a back up is a pretty good move on the Bills part.

Yes...

The reason Roethlisberger did so well is because he had a supporting cast around him. His offensive line was awesome, had two go-to receivers (Hines Ward and Plaxico Burress) and had the Bus and Duce Staley in the backfield.

Dont kid yourself. Throughout the season Roethlisberger made a minimal of mistakes and performed excellently.

In the playoffs I think he was hurt and not effective.
