Do people have no respect for guilds anymore?

I remember when I first looked for a guild, I checked every guilds website I could find to see which one matched my current play level, experience, and was doing what I wanted to be doing.

Now as a guild leader, I still check message boards and websites, to see what other guilds are doing, and to see where the people in EQ I might know are moving.

Now why in this day do I scoot around to different forums and recruitment sections and see people posting apps to two and three guilds on or near the same day?

Um, hello? Do you even know what you want?

The same person apping to a VT guild and to a new guild who "raids" ssra basement every night. Makes me sad I tell you.

Sad that you can't expect loyalty anymore. Sad that a 61 enchanter in mostly bazaar gear will leave my guild after 2 days (even though we killed a "raid" mob every night he was in the guild) because we were not raiding enough (and consequently he joined that same Ssra "raiding" guild).

BAH, I know it was a weak rant, but more like a chance to voice my frustrations.

I didn't read your weak flame, like you suggested. But as a recruiting officer, I can tell you that good help is hard to come by, and there are lots of people who are only in it for what they can get for free.

i cant speak for other guilds but

i can tell you the fastest way to get laughed off the CT boards as an applicant is to post apps to other guilds at the same time
