Non Twink Group on new server

The purpose of this group is to explore, and level using only the means at our disposal. No twinking from higher level characters (a different server then nameless will be picked). Resources will be shared amongst the group and emphasis will be placed on finishing quests and getting drops.

Not for those who want to PL! We will level as quickly or as slowly as we all feel is a good rate, taking time out to work on gear as needed.

Was going to see who all was interested first, but myself I am available every THURSDAY almost guaranteed. Other nights are come and go.

Would you guys be up to using Teamspeak? I've been using it for well over a year now, and for us at least it adds to the fun.

I'm in. I have teamspeak. I'll play whatever class type we don't have.
Tank, Caster, or healer. Doesn't matter to me.

The more the merrier. We don't have to limit it to 6 either. We can form a mini raid (yes I know it's less xp, but that's not what this group is about anyway!) Or the extras can fill in when others aren't available.

The basic plan is to hit up newbie quests (helping each other out). Get started with some tradeskills (one per person or so, just to have basics covered like raw hide armor, banded, jewelry, stat food, drink you can get to 54 in abysmal sea for free if you have Gates of Discord) do some LDON's for gear upgrades (if we all have the expansion), do dungeon crawls (non ldon), and just basically have a good time, using more of the old world locations then newer places.

I like the old world stuff better, too bad they buffed up some of the best places. This could be fun.

How many nights a week/month do we want to do? Two nights a week 3 hours a night would be nice.

Also, if we want to be psuedo roleplay, it'd be cool if we were all the same race. Add more fun to the gaming.

Whats the key command to get the screen that displays your resolution and such. its on 800x600 now and thats massive

We should probably start with 1 night a week and see how that goes. Does Thursday 7-later work for those who have said yes so far?

I can, Gid might not be able to, his comp keeps restarting itself in games.

Do we want a server that has a lot of people or no people?

Both have their advantages, however the advantage of alot of people is negated by the fact we will be grouping together almost exclusively. The advantage of a low pop server is that we will have little competition for dungeon or camp spots.

I have a strong feeling that Luclin might be a good choice for a server. They are middle ground as far as population goes. Not too many, not too few. Just enough that we don't have to worry about over camping or becoming crowded from a server merge.

As to the suggestion about all being the same race. In order for everyone to play the class they want we'd have to be human or possibly Dark Elf. Those are the only two races that have enough variety to support that type of play. I would say play whatever race you want. We can fight and earn equipment while still using all the tools at our disposal. In other words, PoK stones are okay, but getting a temperance and power leveling through gobs of mobs wouldn't be what we would want.

If there are no objections to Luclin, go ahead and make a toon on there. Go through the tutorial and get your Kobold Skull Charm to full power (just follow the boxed prompts if you have never done it). Once you have the charm complete, log off til the designated start time. We will group and kill together from the start.

I think it would be fun if we kept track of what we do as a group. Maybe make a small web page about it *shrug* who knows.

Luclin works fine, but lets find out who we have exactly. Lets get everything setup first.

I'm cool being an all Drow group. That would be very cool. Being there are only a handful of us, it'd make it more fun and immersive. We seem to be the more adult/roleplayer crowd. Since we are looking at Beastlord, rogue, bard, warrior we could also be an all Cat Guild.

7 CST/8 EST work? 3 hours good?

We need a definite on peoples classes and if they are going to be able to play.

The reason I like this idea is that there really aren't alot of people in the newbie level range. That's why I was playing a necro on Ayonae. Don't need a group with a necro.
