Men are the gods of war and women merely R and R... They would never even come close to overthrowing us.

indisputable? ROFL Too bad they can't come up with a dating method that isn't severly flawed and that hasn't been proven to be extremely inaccurate.

...proving conclusively that the first man was made of clay 6,000 years ago, and the first woman from his rib. And they got duped by a talking snake. 'Cause that's "indisputable."

I'd post my thoughts on the inaccuracies of radiometric dating, but I'm not in the mood for 100 pages of arguments with secularists who don't have an open mind.

It's already been proven that man did not evolve from apes. Anybody who still believes that is a fool of epic proportions.

Oh ok I guess you missed the fact that there are no "missing links" wandering around anywhere who would have been living proof of a transition. Don't bother talking about "homo habilus" and homo erectus" and the "duck-billed platypus" and blah blah blah. That doesn't prove anything. The proof is in the pudding. There is no missing link. Man is man. Apes are apes.

Same can be said about the existance of god, there is no proof.

I agree with you for the most part. But, there have been some significant discoveries made in recent years which back up some stories in the Bible. Like the rock that poured out water to the Israelites, and the hundreds of coralized chariot wheels and axles found at the bottom of the Red Sea in the gulf of Aqaba, etc.

That does not prove anything about an existance of god, those if in fact are real would only prove stories that happened in a children's fantasy book.

Like I said... I agree with you for the most part. It's all faith-based. If you want to have faith in the idea that humans evolved from apes, that's your right to do so. Have fun with that philosophy while you keep banging your head into a wall trying to come up with tangible evidence. lol

I never said I believed humans evolved from apes, to me its as credible as there being one supreme being that created us. I have no idea where humans came from, hell I could say we were a "deposit" here by an alien race and that is as credible as the other two. The fact that currently none of it can be proved is a stupid argument between people.

Now, add in the fact that 60% of the entire world believes there is a "god" of some sort, even if there was proof of our existence not brought in from a god, it will never be leaked. It would result in mass social breakdown and probably the fall of mankind. Most people do whats right because they are god fearing, not because of laws man has put in place to govern himself, if that fear was disolved, the world would change instantly.

What I want to know is why the movie theatre at the Gateway here in Salt Lake City can show the Work and the Glory (the story of Joseph Smith and the beginning of the mormon religion), but the IMAX won't show the volcano movie that mentions evolution. :ugh: I'll have to go see it on my next trip to Vegas I guess.....

For the worst I believe. Secularist seem to forget this when they walk around blasting religion.

Yeah cause it sure has been great, all the wars over religion, the spanish inquisition, witch burnings, the stifling of science and discovery at every turn, the dehumanization of others from different faiths, the helping along of the HIV epidemic in Africa. Yeah the world without religion would be hell.

Don't you know morality is the exclusive domain of the religious?

Man *is* an ape, taxonomically. Our nearest extant sister species is Pan (chimpanzee). We, along with chimps, orangs, gorillas are all Hominidae.
You're clearly babbling or ignorant with your claim about how it's proven we didn't evolve from apes. What ICR tract did you hear that one in, because no sane biologist would agree with you.

For discussions of age of the earth, etc see the talk.origins FAQ archive.

http://www.talkorigins.org

Specifically:
Age of the Earth: http://www.talkorigins.org/origins/faqs-youngearth.html
Human Evolution: http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/homs/

If the Bibliolaters want to think we were created 6000 years ago, fine. They should just stop pretending about there being any actual physical evidence for it. And stop trying to get it taught in science classes.
