Actually her father didn't say anything about a drip. It's text put in by the article's author. Her father's words are the bit *inside* the quote marks, eh? I don't see any actual quotes where he claims there's a drip.

Felos disputed that, saying that hospice records show Schiavo was given two low doses of morphine - one on March 19 and another on March 26 - and that she was not on a morphine drip. Again, no actual *quote* by the father saying she had a drip. He only said he's worried they'll give her an overdose. And given that Felos said she didn't have a drip, I'd strongly think she didn't. Gotta be careful to to read stuff between the lines.

On Earth, something like 2/3 of the American people think he's doing the right thing. It's a small and virulently hate-filled minority that are trying to force their beliefs on Terri to keep her alive, and the majority of the population think he's right to do what he did.

When ABC, CBS, CNN *and* FOX all agree there's a 2/3 majority in favor of keeping the tube out, no, I don't assume they're all lying. It's not exactly likely.

It is possible that the journalist supposed her father was referring to Terri being on a morphine drip from the context of their conversation. But there is nothing there that excludes her father from saying she was on one either.
