Because the slimeball was having an affair and even started a new family on the side just a couple years after Terry slipped into a coma. Michael Schiavo deserves a 5'x7' cold prison cell for the rest of his days.

Judges make fair decisions based on evidence. This was adjudicated for years.

Given this was appealed through the 11th circuit court <a conservative court> and to the Supreme Court, rest assured the i's were dotted and t's were crossed.

Her best friend said she wouldnt want to live on life support, as did her Husband and others.

The only ones who wanted her like that were her family, who in my mind did it for personal selfish reasons, versus what's better for Terri.

She had no hope of getting better. She had been completely unresponsive for 15 years.

More will come out when the autopsy is released and the videos of the doctors with her are on the news.

Can we really trust the spokesperson for the autopsy? I'd be willing to bet that Michael Schiavo has covered all bases.

Unless you are Michael or Terri Schiavo you cannot really trust anyone involved. Fact of the matter is, he loved his wife, saw she was getting no better and moved on while staying by her side.

Why does having an affair mean deserving prison?

How's that 42" waist feel, Harrison? How do your manboobs feel as they jiggle up and down as you waddle from your fridge to your computer? :boobs:

It doesn't. He also allegedly injected her with unncessary insulin. That does warrant prison since it is attempted murder.

Ok, fair enough. So when you mentioned that you thought he deserved prison, why didn't you just say that rather than making judgements for him moving on with his life? And if he's had another family on the side for 13 years at this point, I doubt he'd just wake up one day and think "oh gee, today's the day I murder my wife because she's inconvenient."

I just think Michael Schiavo is a wicked, selfish, and callous individual.

Funny thing is Terri's parents encouraged him to start dating again not long after she was diagnosed and he refused to consider the idea.

And I thought we debunked the whole insulin thing in the other thread. Her parents NEVER once called this so called nurse to testify on their behalf. Doesn't that say something about her credibility?

Really, the only Christians I can see having a problem with letting her go are the ones that aren't so sure in the dead dark recesses of their soul that she had a better place to go to. The Christians that scream about their faith the loudest in an effort to drown that doubtful inner voice that says 'maybe'. You know the type...
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

They didn't have to pull the tube and let her die the way she did.

Well, I'm sure they would have chosen to do it in a much quicker manner if they had been allowed to do so. And the way she had to die is hardly something her husband had any control over.

Except he asked to have the tube removed. I'd say that pretty much qualifies as having some control over it.

Yes he did ask for the tube to be removed. However, I'm sure if there were some other way of going about it that wouldn't be so long and drawn out, he would have asked for that. As it was, pulling the tube was the only option given.

...I rest my case, you have no idea what you are talking about.

There is nothing else legally they can do, at all.

Removing the tube is the only legal action allowed in the U.S.

He is a murderer because he went through with her wishes in the only manner legally allowed?

That was the only way allowed by law to let her go. There was no reason to keep her tethered to her body.

My personal opinion is her parents were just unable to let go because they are the type of Christian I spoke of before, they don't truly believe. They fear death and so they couldn't let their daughter go.

Also, I think it's a slimy piece of work to sell off the list of supporters while their daughter laid there dying. How can you even THINK of something like that at a time like that? For that if nothing else they disgust me.
