I don't remember where the thread was.

Every time I read one post, it's marking all of my posts on the entire board as read, and then I don't know what I read already.

How to fix?!

I used to have that problem whenever I would log out then log back in later. Every time I log out now I delete my cookies, temp files and cache. I don't know which of those works but I haven't had the problem since.

Also, whenever I log out, I refresh the NT home page. I guess (and I might be way off on this) it tells NT that my IP is logged out so I can feel free to log in on a different connection (ie work) without it doing that bug.

That is all done via cookies. You shouldnt need to delete your temp files or cache.

If you change users without logging out, use separate PCs with different cookies, or your cookie is removed then the current 'view' of read/unread posts will be invalid and everything will show up marked read.

I've tested this and if I bring up another browser while logged in, all the forums are marked read.
