What does a person who is born blind dream about if they have never seen anything? Maybe their sense of touch makes a mental image that they can dream about and see in their dream.

As far as I know, if they have never had vision, they don't dream in images.

The technique could one day be used to create video games in which you can smell, taste, and touch, or to help people who are blind or deaf.

I like how they put the "blind and deaf" part past the obviously more important use of this technology.

It is not like the blind or deaf people and think about it anyways. We have played video games, heard, smelled and such. More for us with functional senses.
