IF YOU WERE A LITTLE GIRL IN THE 70'S:

Postby liquidstayce » Tue Apr 12, 2005 12:12 pm

omg.. like 99% of these are all true for me ><

IF YOU WERE A LITTLE GIRL IN THE 70'S:

You wore a rainbow shirt that was half-sleeves, and the rainbow went
up one sleeve, across your chest, and down the other. Or did you have a
unicorn?

You made baby chocolate cakes in your Easy Bake Oven or snow cones from your Snoopy Snow Cone Machine?

You had that Fisher Price Doctor's Kit with a stethoscope that
actually worked?

You owned a bicycle with a banana seat and a plastic basket with
flowers on it.

You learned to skate with actual skates (not roller blades) that had
metal wheels.

You thought Gopher from Love Boat was cute (admit it!)

You had nightmares after watching Fantasy Island.

You had rubber boots for rainy days or Moon boots for snowy days?

You had either a "bowl cut" or "pixie", not to mention the "Dorothy
Hamil" because your Mom was sick of braiding your hair. People sometimes
thought you were a boy.

Your Holly Hobbie sleeping bag was your most prized possession.

You wore a poncho, gauchos, and knickers. Knickers!

You begged Santa for the electronic game, Simon.

You had the Donnie and Marie dolls with those pink and purple satiny
shredded outfits.

You spent hours in your backyard on your metal swing set with the trapeze.
The swing set tipped over at least once.

You had homemade ribbon barrettes in every imaginable color.

You had a pair of Doctor Scholl's sandals (the ones with hard sole and
the buckle).

You wanted to be Laura Ingalls Wilder really bad; you wore that Little
House on the Prairie-inspired plaid, ruffle shirt with the high neck in
at least one school picture; and you despised Nellie Olson!

You wanted your first kiss to be at a roller rink. Of course.

Your hairstyle was described as having "wings" or "feathers" and you
kept it pretty with the comb you kept in your back pocket.

You know who Strawberry Shortcake is, as well as her friends,
Blueberry Muffin and Huckleberry Pie. And don't forget Apple Dumpling!

You carried a Muppets lunch box to school and it was metal, not plastic.

You and your girlfriends would fight over which of the Dukes of
Hazzard was your boyfriend.

Every now and then "It's a Hard Knock Life" from the movie, Annie
will pop into your brain and you can't stop singing it the whole day.

YOU had Star Wars action figures, too!

It was a big event in your household each year when the Wizard of Oz
would come on TV. Your mom would break out the popcorn and sleeping bags!

You often asked your Magic-8 ball the question: "Who will I marry.
Shaun Cassidy, Leif Garrett, or Rick Springfield?"

You completely wore out your Grease, Saturday Night Fever, and Fame
soundtrack record album.

You tried to do lots of arts and crafts, like yarn and Popsicle-stick
God's eyes, decoupage, or those weird potholders made on a plastic loom.
Pot holders - I believe they were called "loom loopers".

You made Shrinky-Dinks and put iron-on kittens on your t-shirts!

You used to tape record songs off the radio by holding your portable
tape player up to the speaker.

You couldn't wait to get the free animal poster that came when you
ordered books from the Weekly Reader book club. Double score if it was a
teddy bear dressed in clothing.

You learned everything you needed to know about girl issues from Judy
Blume books.

You thought Olivia Newton John's song "Physical" was about aerobics.

You wore friendship pins on your tennis shoes, or shoelaces with heart
or rainbow designs.

You wanted to be a Solid Gold dancer. Still do!

You had a Big Wheel with a brake on the side, and a Sit-n-Spin.

You had subscriptions to Dynamite and Tiger Beat.

You spent all your allowance on smurfs and stickers for your sticker
album!

unicorn? Unicorn!

You made baby chocolate cakes in your Easy Bake Oven or snow cones from your Snoopy Snow Cone Machine? Both!

You had that Fisher Price Doctor's Kit with a stethoscope that

You and your girlfriends would fight over which of the Dukes of
Hazzard was your boyfriend. Uh no...we fought over the Hardy Boys.

Every now and then "It's a Hard Knock Life" from the movie, Annie
will pop into your brain and you can't stop singing it the whole day. Drives my hub nuts too!

You made Shrinky-Dinks and put iron-on kittens on your t-shirts! Yes :)

You used to tape record songs off the radio by holding your portable
tape player up to the speaker. OMG....completely remember doing this and yelling at my brothers for messing up my recordings.

You learned everything you needed to know about girl issues from Judy

You thought Olivia Newton John's song "Physical" was about aerobics. ROFL, you mean it isn't? ;)

Looks like your first has done quite well for himself. You should dump that Mop you have and give ole' Luis a jingle! I'm sure he'd be happy to hear from you!

Wow...how amazing ~

That's like saying, "if you were a 12 year old girl in 2001 you probably listened to Britney Spears and dressed like a skank".

Guess how much research just went into my little study.

They need more toys for little girls that deal with cooking and cleaning and definitely a toy that shocks the shit out of them when they start learning to be little bitches.

I played with power tools when I was a kid and GI Joe Hang gliders and gasoline and fireworks.

Those were the best toys.

When my sisters would fuck with my toys I would take barbie and run her through my dad's table-saw as punishment. Godamn i ruled when I was young.

I didn't play with Barbie very much...the girls in my neighborhood wouldn't play right and I'd get all bent out of shape that they weren't being realistic. I'm like, "NO Peaches N Cream Barbie doesn't drive the CORVETTE she gets picked up in a CARRIAGE you DUMBASS"

I pretended I was an actress in movies like "The Comet." We also had wrestling matches with the boys on the trampoline and had names for ourselves, just like in GLOW. We played GI Joe, Star Wars and Transformers. Stupid girls in my neighborhood were boring, I liked the boys.

I liked the girls by about 2nd grade and hung out with plenty of them... I knew deep down that my penis was born to interact with them in a manner jesus wouldn't approve of.

My mother kept memory boxes for me and my brother and sister. I busted mine open the other day and guess who was sitting right on top, waiting for me for the last 18 years...

Teddy 'mutha F'ing' Ruxbin baby.

I was almost tempted to go onto ebay to find some of his tapes so I can make him work again.
